FAMILY: My husband, Tom, (“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: chief handyman, landscaper, mechanic, grill chief, camper set-up captain, great husband and father, servant of God…just to name a few”); my daughter, Anna, who is fast approaching high school and her busy life keeps my life busy, too; and of course, our fun-loving spring spaniel, Britty, who makes me laugh daily.
READ: Suspense – Grisham, Baldacci.
EAT: Mexican; Chinese; King crab legs; Tom’s homemade salsa; anything cooked on the grill; and good BBQ (TX-style or KC-style).
WATCH: 24, House, In Plain Sight, and Frasier
LISTEN: Classical, Country, Classic Rock, and Southern Gospel
DO: Camping, play piano, golf occasionally, Sudoku and Logic puzzles.
GO: Anywhere. I love to travel and wish I could take my family everywhere. Someday I hope that Tom and I can retire and do the RV-thing across country for a year. Most memorable trip thus far was a trip to Kenya.
COOL: Camping under a million stars, particularly during the Perseids meteor shower season in August (on a clear night!). Or any other place or experience that reminds me of God’s awesome character.
UNCOOL: Anything about me (according to my teenage daughter).
STUFF: I grew up in Kansas City, MO. Graduated from Baylor University and continued some post graduate studies at Rockhurst College in Kansas City. Have lived and worked in Houston, Kansas City, New York City, and Milwaukee. Worked in the mortgage industry for many years. Life changed, and I made career changes, too. I started working at First Church as the Office Assistant in 2005 and also teach piano lessons in my home.
